Command: tzura eiruvin 66b
As a handy reference, 22lookup provides the capability to call up any Tzuras HaDaf courtesy of HebrewBooks.com.
Command: highlights
It is contemplated that over time, users will send in suggestions for addition to the highlights category. Just click on one of the above links to see the highlighted story on a tzuras ha daf. (You might have to scroll down to see the highlighted area.)
Command: tannaim
This is a place holder for now. Over time it is hoped that the major Tannaim and Amoraim will be included so that users of 22lookup can easily ascertain Rebbe-Talmid relationships for at least the most common participants in the Talmudic discourses.
P.S. I realize that information about Amoraim is being displayed for a command relating to Tannaim… as I just mentioned… this is just a place holder until the capability can be actualized.
Command: amoraim
This is a place holder for now. Over time it is hoped that the major Tannaim and Amoraim will be included so that users of 22lookup can easily ascertain Rebbe-Talmid relationships for at least the most common participants in the Talmudic discourses.
Command: gematria mSh rbnv
For some of the main systems of Gematria, show the gematria of a phrase typed in by the user. In cases of multi-word phrases, the gematria of each word is shown as well the running total of the phrase. In case of a single word, the gematria is shown for each letter with a running sum for the entire word or name.
Command: gfind chumash mSh rbnv plus 10
The gematria of Moshe Rabbeinu is 603 in standard gematria. 22lookup allows users to add or subtract a fixed amount to the gematria of the input phrase prior to the searching. The program will now search through either Chumash, Navi, or Kesuvim to find consecutive words which will have standard gematries of 603+10=613. After searching through the entire Chumash, 281 sets of consecutive words were found which have gematrias of exactly 613. This capability is very helpful for drashas.
Command: beis-ha-mikdash
Along with the already demonstrated capability, 22lookup has several informative pdf reports that may assist users. One example is the chart of the various components of the Beis HaMikdash. Others include talmudic measurements, how the Talmud was printed, timelines of Tannaim and Amoraim, etc.
